Omni Inventive Care is seeking a full-time Licensed Special Education Teacher. This position will be responsible for IEP advocacy, design, and implementation of education plans for youth in Omni services, who have a verified behavior disorder and other health impairments. This position will work closely with the treatment staff within Omni to provide the best educational opportunities for youth that have been institutionalized for many years, and are not able to benefit from traditional educational environments.

The successful candidate for this unique position should be highly motivated to offer state-of-the art educational plans and have experience working with very challenging multi-morbid adolescents.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and specialists to ensure effective communication and support for students.
• Design and deliver lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
• Conduct assessments and monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to students, fostering their social and emotional development.

Requirements:

• Valid Nebraska Teaching License
• Special Education Endorsement
• Must pass pre-employment background checks
• Must pass pre-employment physical
• Absent valid medical condition or sincerely held religious belief preventing COVID-19 vaccination, all applicants must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination by providing their Center for Disease Control vaccination card. Photographs, photocopies, or other reproductions are not acceptable.
• Must have valid driver's license
• Must have 6 points or less on your driving record. Cannot have had license suspended in the last 5 years. Please indicate any other driving violations that may affect your application.
