Job Summary

Executive Chef | Monday–Friday Schedule | Lead, Innovate, Encourage

Are you a seasoned culinary leader with a passion for innovation, hospitality, and team development? Join us as our Executive Chef, where you’ll take the reins of a dynamic dining program that values creativity, quality, and people-first leadership.

This job offers a chance to influence the culinary experience for a dedicated, grateful community. You'll guide a committed team, develop seasonal menus with a unique touch (no fixed cycles!), and contribute to realizing our hospitality vision.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the Culinary Vision:

Build fresh, seasonal, small-batch menus with a focus on presentation, quality, and minimal waste. Recipes are managed digitally and seamlessly coordinated with mobile and kiosk ordering platforms.

  • Encourage & Develop Your Team:

Help a high-performing culinary team grow by encouraging skill development, mentorship, and long-term retention. Your leadership is more important than knife skills—we’re looking for someone who uplifts and empowers.

  • Drive Operational Excellence:

Handle inventory management, ordering, cost controls, and labor efficiency. Use internal systems to monitor everything from prep sheets to temp logs to cleaning schedules.

  • Implement Memorable Catering:

Deliver creative catering experiences, from intimate executive lunches to high-impact campus events for 400+. Flexibility is key—some events may run into the evening.

  • Champion Hospitality Culture:

Hospitality and attention to detail are non-negotiable. From perfect espresso drinks at the coffee bar to consistent plate presentation, every guest interaction should reflect care and pride.

What You Bring

  • Proven success in culinary leadership (3–5+ years), especially in high-volume production and catering
  • Strong approach to systems and high proficiency in computer usage
  • Experience managing food and labor costs, inventory, and vendor relationships
  • A hospitality-first approach with a desire to mentor and develop others
  • Bonus: Experience with espresso-based drinks or coffee program oversight
  • Culinary degree preferred, but not required

Why This Role?

  • Monday–Friday role with an average of 50 hours/week—some flexibility required during ramp-up and events
  • Creative freedom to craft menus and culinary identity—no corporate menu cycles
  • Impactful leadership role in a community-focused environment
  • Growth opportunity with a respected and forward-thinking foodservice organization

If you're ready to lead with heart, cook with passion, and manage with purpose, we’d love to meet you!
