Position Summary: Under immediate supervision, coordinates the activities of daily operations of clinical research studies. Responsible for the screening, consenting, recruitment, and selection of patients for studies. Prepares IRB and/or CCI documentation and submissions in conjunction with the Principal Investigator and /or other members of the research team. Conducts data collection activities and prepares analytical reports regarding the results of studies. Key Responsibilities: Manages patient consent and recruitment through interviews and written communications, providing detailed study information and evaluating candidate suitability based on clinical knowledge. Serves as a liaison for families and patients throughout all study phases, coordinating follow-up visits and addressing participant concerns. Prepares and submits documentation for IRB and CCI approvals, collaborating with the Principal Investigator and ensuring correct procedures. Creates data collection reports and analytical summaries for the research team, including writing articles and summary papers for medical journals as needed. Coordinates activities between hospitals and research labs, ensuring adherence to project policies, testing protocols, and consistency in data collection and informed consent procedures. Minimum Qualifications Education: Work requires knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree. Experience: Excellent verbal communication skills are essential. Excellent writing skills are essential. Ability to maintain participant data confidentiality and adhere to study protocol. Experience and comfort using computer applications (Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) (essential), data management tools (REDCap), statistical software (SPSS, etc.), and website management tools (preferred). Ability to take initiative, work without direct supervision, multitask, and work on multiple projects with changing deadlines. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
